First Fridays are a fantastic time to visit many area artist studios, see what people are creating, talk to the artists, and support the arts. Participating venues include the Contemporary Art Center of Peoria, Glazed and Confused Pottery, Peoria Art Guild, The Garage of Curiosity & Contemplation, Studio 606, and North Art Studios.

While many of these venues will host music as well, on May 5th, North Art Studios has made way for the first installment of the Peoria Music Community Women’s Cooperative Open Mic! Group founder, Sarah Marie Dillard kicked things off and was followed by several Cooperative members before the floor was opened to others.
