We Get Them Off Their Couches, Help Us Get Them to Your Show!
I took a photo of myself recording Arlo McKinley at the Peoria Blues & Heritage Fest this weekend, and I have to admit, my favorite part of this photo is the ring you see peeking out from under the phone. (For those who hadn’t heard yet, October 9th is the big day!)
Peoria Music Live is going strong into its third year, and it’s time to make sure that the business stays sustainable. I appreciate everyone who has donated to or bought merchandise from PML in the last two years, but so far I have yet to be able to find the right combination of efforts to keep from spending more money per month than Peoria Music Live brings in.
So, after talking to several artists and the founder of CU Bands & Fans (Champaign-Urbana) I have decided that I need to start offering services directly to the Artists, Bands, and Venues as opposed to continuing to try to find sponsorship from local small businesses who care about and support live local music.
Wouldn’t you love to not only guarantee that I was at your event, but that I came during the set you wanted recorded? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could be sure that there was a post a week or two before your event and it was boosted to the Peoria Music Live audience?
Or maybe you have an fundraiser coming up that lasts 6 hours. You can guarantee that PML shows up the first hour to show everyone what a great time they’ll have if they come out with the family later in the day!
Just so we’re clear here, I will continue to promote and cover shows and bands and events for free through Peoria Music Live, just as I always have. PML does not have to necessarily be paid to come to an event. However, there are so many events going on each weekend, there is just not enough time for me to be everywhere. Some weekends it just feels like I’m running an endurance race and missing out on where I should be right and left!
So, to guarantee certain types of promotions and coverages, Peoria Music Live can now be booked!
As you read through the list of ways Peoria Music Live can now be hired, keep in mind that we accept sponsors for almost of all of these promotions. In addition, know that these may change over time. I have a lot of ideas, so certain offerings may come and go until we find the right fit. Feel free to make a suggestion as well!

Hollow Down was the first band on the Riverview Stage on Saturday at the Peoria Blues & Heritage Festival. I love when I can make it early in the day and encourage people with great music and letting them know what’s happening!

Peoria Life - Facebook Live & Channel 17 Episode - $225
One 20+ minute program
Recorded at Widecast Studio, in Downtown Peoria
Interview between Kindall & artist, band, venue owner, etc on subject of your choice
Live acoustic performance in studio OR
You can provide studio with video taken at a show
Program will air LIVE of Peoria Life and Peoria Music Live
Program will be rebroadcast on ITV3 Channel 17
$225 is just above the costs charged by the studio and Channel 17. A small business sponsor will get the most value from this.
Getting a sponsor on board for your band or your event will help ensure that you get the biggest value from all of these options!
