Katelynn Burgett (aka KT Bee) officially joins the band as a vocalist/guitarist/aux instrumentation person. In an interview had this to say about joining, and her debut on "Swim":
"I'm really excited about this opportunity to be able to make music with these guys and be able to sing for a cause. Stop me short is an advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention awareness. Our music is based off of the struggles of mental illness and how to overcome such obstacles in life. Our main goal is to spread more awareness around so that maybe if someone hears our music they will know they are not alone”.
Katelynn previously performed with school jazz bands and choirs, and with several local artists in the Peoria and Central Illinois Area.
Stop Me Short also celebrates a small victory after being badged as a "Verified Artist" on Spotify! This is especially exciting since they are looking ahead to the release of their newest single "Swim".
The delay has been reported "due to inspection" and a final release date should be announced in the next couple weeks. The single features local stars Bob Kelly of Alison Hanna Band and Roy Ponce of Brainchild, and will be released globally on all streaming platforms, including Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, iHeart Radio, YouTube etc.
