There’s so much music in the area this weekend, and we have it all for you right here! This week we’re highlighting a local venue via photos and video who is also a supporter of Peoria Music Live - Twisted Spoke Saloon.
We arrived to Pekin Palooza 2021, racing inside to keep from getting drenched. In fact, there were tornado warnings to the south of the venue as we were driving towards it, although they were far enough away that people were still outside, under the tents, participating in the raffles.
Many people were enjoying lunch from the food trucks (The Station and Grandma Nana’s) as well, but I stuck to my TSS usual, Chicken Strips and Fries. Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom to see all the great photos we captured at this year’s Pekin Palooza!
Despite having the worst weather possible for this great weekend, $2500 was raised for the St Jude Pekin to Peoria Run! We look forward to heading back there next year to cover more bands and hopefully contributing more to the fundraising with a PML Gift Basket for the fundraising raffle.
There were a lot of activities and bands who were a part of this year’s Pekin Palooza that we didn’t get to see, but you can keep track of what’s happening ahead of time next year by following the Facebook page: Pekin Palooza.
While the outside stage wasn’t able to be used, the party did not stop. Everyone moved inside. We got there just in time to catch the last few songs of the Highway J set.
