Steady Flow on the Peoria Riverfront

As much as I wish I could be everywhere at once, it just isn’t possible. And last weekend, I really wanted to be at a Blues Festival in Southern Illinois. So, I took Sara Allen up on her offer to be a volunteer photographer/blogger for the night. She said photography is her side-gig, she loves live music, and was excited to help out. Here is her short summary and some photos of the Steady Flow show on the Riverfront. - Kindall

Steady Flow played a rockin’ show at the Peoria Riverfront on Saturday.

It felt great to be back at the Riverfront after waiting so long to see any band play live while some of us struggled to make it through all the changes of the pandemic.

From parents bringing their kids to enjoy a night out away from home, to groups of friends that hadn’t seen each other in months, so many happy faces brought extra energy to the crowd.

Steady Flow played Saturday night after the original show date on July 10th got canceled due to weather. Tanner Brown thanked the crowd Saturday night for making their way to the RiverFront, even after being rescheduled.

The Riverfront was packed. People were dancing to one of Peoria’s favorite hometown bands playing their hearts out with the Murray Baker Bridge lights beaming as the backdrop. I don’t think anyone wanted the night to end.

Fortunately, the tunes didn’t stop at the Riverfront. Steady Flow & Friends played at Kenny’s Westside Pub in Downtown Peoria for an after party.

Steady Flow heads on the road for their next shows according to their summer lineup posted on their Facebook.

7/29 - Your Mom’s House in Denver, Colorado
7/30-7/31 Old Town Pub in Steamboat Springs, Colorado
8/6 - Diamond Music Hall in Saint Peters, Missouri
8/7 Corn Crib Stadium in Normal, Illinois

If you missed out on Saturday’s show, you’re out of luck for awhile in the Peoria area. Next time remember that you don’t want to miss it!

Taking pictures is what I love to do and I have all of you to thank for that! I can't wait to see you at the next show. You'll find me with the black bucket hat. I always wear it to shows I shoot!!!

Sara Allen currently works at WMBD-TV in Peoria and photography is her side-gig. She loves being outside & exploring new sites and bands across Central Illinois or the Nation! She also LOVES to dance with her friends at live LOCAL music, and take great photos while she’s there.
